Remarks The type locality was a small creek, 1-2 m wide, 0.1-0.3 m deep; sandy bottom with some aquatic vegetation, in a cultivated area; located in a deep groove, covered by trees. Also collected from a relatively large stream, 10-20 m wide; a large side pool (30-40 m diameter) with standing water downstream of the bridge, immediately downstream of a stretch of riffles, in a large area with dense permanent submerse vegetation, about 1 m deep. Also collected from a spring fed reservoir, with very clear, cold water, and dense aquatic vegetation, up to 2 m deep (Ref. 46238).
