 Family:  Acropomatidae (Lanternbellies, temperate ocean-basses)
 Max. size:  13.2 cm SL (male/unsexed)
 Environment:  pelagic-neritic; depth range - 1000 m
 Distribution:  Western Central Pacific: Philippines.
 Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 9-9; Dorsal soft rays (total): 10-10; Anal spines: 3-3; Anal soft rays: 7-7. Proximal radial of first anal fin pterygiophore lacking trough or hollow. Luminous gland extending from the isthmus to the anal fin base. Anus situated closer to origin of pelvic fin than to that of anal fin. Cycloid scales except around anterior part of lateral line and on ventral side of body which is weakly ctenoid; slightly deciduous. Body depth 31-33% SL; head length 40-42% SL; length of orbit 13-14% SL; distance from origin of pelvic fin to anus 13% SL (Ref. 41631).
 Biology:  Collected by trawl and landed in fish markets; apparently found on continental shelf and in nearby waters (Ref. 96184).
