 Family:  Paralichthyidae (Large-tooth flounders)
 Max. size:  35 cm TL (male/unsexed)
 Environment:  demersal; depth range 18 - 100 m
 Distribution:  Eastern Pacific: Gulf of California to Peru (04°56.5'S, 81°22.8'W).
 Diagnosis:   
 Biology:  Lives on muddy-sandy bottoms (Ref. 9330). Commonly caught with trawls in the Gulf of California (Ref. 9330).
 IUCN Red List Status:   (Ref. 96402)
 Threat to humans:  harmless
