 Max. size:  10 cm SL (male/unsexed)
 Environment:  demersal; depth range 40 - 278 m
 Distribution:  Northwest Pacific: Japan, Kuril Islands, Sea of Okhotsk, and the Sea of Japan.
 Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 0-0; Dorsal soft rays (total): 4-6; Anal spines: 0-0; Anal soft rays: 4-5. Distinguished from A. bartoni by the absence of nasal spine. Attains about 10 cm SL.
 Biology:
