 Family:  Aploactinidae (Velvetfishes)
 Max. size:  23 cm TL (male/unsexed)
 Environment:  benthopelagic; depth range 0 - 6 m, non-migratory
 Distribution:  Indo-Pacific: Minnie Waters in New South Wales to Shark Bay in Western Australia, including the Tasmanian coast.
 Diagnosis:   
 Biology:  Found inshore in soft bottom, among plants.
 IUCN Red List Status: Not Evaluated  (Ref. 96402)
 Threat to humans:  harmless
