 Family:  Apogonidae (Cardinalfishes), subfamily: Apogoninae
 Max. size:  10.1 cm SL (male/unsexed)
 Environment:  demersal; depth range 0 - 50 m
 Distribution:  Southwest Atlantic and Eastern Central Atlantic: endemic to Brazil, including Fernando de Noronha Archipelago and St. Paul's Rocks.
 Diagnosis:   
 Biology:  Inhabits rock pools but also found to depths of at least 50 m. Hides in holes and crevices during the day (Ref. 13121). Feeds on plankton (Ref. 40849).
 IUCN Red List Status: Not Evaluated  (Ref. 96402)
 Threat to humans:  harmless
