 Family:  Apogonidae (Cardinalfishes), subfamily: Apogoninae
 Max. size:  10 cm TL (male/unsexed)
 Environment:  reef-associated; depth range - 60 m
 Distribution:  Eastern Central Pacific: Gulf of California to southern Mexico.
 Diagnosis:   
 Biology:  Found in rocky reefs (Ref. 11482). Seeks refuge during the day (Ref. 37955). Feeds on crustaceans and other small invertebrates (Ref. 37955).
 IUCN Red List Status:   (Ref. 96402)
