 Family:  Pomacanthidae (Angelfishes)
 Max. size:  15 cm TL (male/unsexed)
 Environment:  reef-associated; depth range 60 - 80 m, non-migratory
 Distribution:  Western Indian Ocean: known only from Réunion (Ref. 4858, 33390). May possibly occur at Mauritius and Madagascar (Ref. 4858).
 Diagnosis:  Body golden brown to orange with bright yellow spots; head brown, the posterior edge of the opercle dark brown or black; caudal fin and the rear portions of the dorsal and anal fins brown.
 Biology:  Inhabits deep seaward reefs (Ref. 9710). Unknown to the aquarium hobby; its maintenance is probably similar to that of A. trimaculatus.
 IUCN Red List Status: Data deficient  (Ref. 96402)
 Threat to humans:  harmless
