 Family:  Artedidraconidae (Barbled plunderfishes)
 Max. size:  15.1 cm TL (male/unsexed)
 Environment:  demersal; depth range 82 - 801 m
 Distribution:  Southern Ocean: East Antarctica (Ross Sea, South Victoria Land, Weddell Sea).
 Diagnosis:   
 Biology:  Found on the sublittoral and continental shelf. Feeds mainly on gammaridean amphipods, with substantial amounts of errant polychaetes. Isopods were a minor food item.
 IUCN Red List Status: Not Evaluated  (Ref. 96402)
 Threat to humans:  harmless
