 Environment:  bathypelagic; depth range - 229 m
 Distribution:  Southwest Atlantic: off Amazon River mouth, northern Brazil.
 Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 5-5; Dorsal soft rays (total): 13-13; Anal spines: 2-2; Anal soft rays: 9-9. Body slender. Head slightly longer than deep. Snout blunt and rounded. Back and sides light reddish brown, lower sides dark gray to black (Ref. 37108).
 Biology:  Minimum depth from Ref. 58018.
 IUCN Red List Status: Not Evaluated  (Ref. 96402)
