 Max. size:  7.1 cm SL (male/unsexed)
 Environment:  reef-associated; depth range 15 - 42 m
 Distribution:  Eastern Central Pacific: Nuku Hiva, Marquesas Islands.
 Diagnosis:   
 Biology:  Feeds on filamentous algae and small invertebrates (Ref. 89972).
 IUCN Red List Status: Vulnerable (B1ab(iii)+2ab(iii)) (Ref. 96402)
 Threat to humans:  harmless
