 Family:  Catostomidae (Suckers), subfamily: Catostominae
 Max. size:  50 cm TL (male/unsexed); max. reported age: 9 years
 Environment:  demersal
 Distribution:  North America: Rogue River drainage in southwestern Oregon, USA south to Trinity River drainage in northwestern California, USA. Reportedly rare in Jenny Creek in USA (Ref. 3881).
 Diagnosis:   
 Biology:  Inhabits silt-bottomed to rock-bottomed pools and runs of small to medium rivers. Occasionally found in impoundments.
 IUCN Red List Status:   (Ref. 96402)
 Threat to humans:  harmless
