 Max. size:  31 cm TL (male/unsexed)
 Environment:  demersal; depth range 10 - 50 m
 Distribution:  Eastern Atlantic: Senegal to Angola. Recorded from the Niger River estuary.
 Diagnosis:   
 Biology:  Inhabit sandy or muddy bottoms in coastal waters (Ref. 2683).
 IUCN Red List Status:   (Ref. 96402)
 Threat to humans:  harmless
