 Family:  Pomacentridae (Damselfishes), subfamily: Pomacentrinae
 Max. size:  16.5 cm SL (male/unsexed)
 Environment:  reef-associated; depth range 20 - 60 m, non-migratory
 Distribution:  Eastern Central Atlantic: off Senegal, Guinea, Liberia, and Ghana.
 Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 14-14; Dorsal soft rays (total): 10-11; Anal spines: 2-2; Anal soft rays: 11-12
 Biology:  Found in rocky reefs and deeper offshore trawling grounds (Ref. 7247). Oviparous, distinct pairing during breeding (Ref. 205). Eggs are demersal and adhere to the substrate (Ref. 205). Males guard and aerate the eggs (Ref. 205).
