 Family:  Labridae (Wrasses), subfamily: Cheilininae
 Max. size:  6.5 cm TL (male/unsexed)
 Environment:  reef-associated; depth range 6 - 40 m
 Distribution:  Western Central Pacific: Philippines (Ref. 44110). Reported from Indonesia (Ref. 26153) and Palau (Ref. 37816).
 Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 11-11; Dorsal soft rays (total): 9-9; Anal spines: 3-3; Anal soft rays: 9-9. Males highly variable in color with dorsal fin colors from all yellow to red or blue, and body from red to pink or white, depending on mood and stage (Ref. 48636).
 Biology:  Inhabits finely branching corals on protected coral and rubble slopes. Occurs in aggregations (Ref. 37816).
