 Family:  Paralichthyidae (Large-tooth flounders)
 Max. size:  18 cm TL (male/unsexed)
 Environment:  demersal; depth range 46 - 366 m
 Distribution:  Western Atlantic: Georges Bank to southern Florida, USA and eastern Gulf of Mexico from Florida to Yucatan, Mexico.
 Diagnosis:   
 Biology:  Occurs in deeper water. Rarely found in shallow water.
 IUCN Red List Status:   (Ref. 96402)
