 Family:  Muraenesocidae (Pike congers)
 Max. size:  202 cm TL (male/unsexed); max.weight: 11 kg
 Environment:  demersal; depth range 10 - 100 m
 Distribution:  Eastern Pacific: Mexico to Ecuador.
 Diagnosis:   
 Biology:  Inhabits sand and mud bottoms (Ref. 9323). Feeds on invertebrates and fishes (Ref. 9323). The flesh is of excellent quality (Ref. 9323).
 IUCN Red List Status: Data deficient  (Ref. 96402)
 Threat to humans:  harmless
