 Family:  Myctophidae (Lanternfishes), subfamily: Lampanyctinae
 Max. size:  5 cm SL (male/unsexed)
 Environment:  bathypelagic; depth range 350 - 1389 m, oceanodromous
 Distribution:  Indo-Pacific. Southeast Atlantic. South China Sea (Ref.74511).
 Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 0-0; Dorsal soft rays (total): 14-15; Anal spines: 0-0; Anal soft rays: 13-15
 Biology:  High-oceanic and mesopelagic. Found in the upper 85 m at night (Ref. 4066).
 IUCN Red List Status: Not Evaluated  (Ref. 96402)
 Threat to humans:  harmless
