 Family:  Antennariidae (Frogfishes), subfamily: Histiophryninae
 Max. size:  7 cm TL (male/unsexed)
 Environment:  reef-associated; depth range 0 - 20 m
 Distribution:  Eastern Indian Ocean: Endemic to southern Australia, from Kangaroo Islands, South Australia to Tasmania.
 Diagnosis:   
 Biology:  A temperate species found inshore on reefs (Ref. 7300). Minimum depth reported taken from Ref. 57178.
 IUCN Red List Status: Not Evaluated  (Ref. 96402)
 Threat to humans:  harmless
