 Family:  Percidae (Perches), subfamily: Etheostomatinae
 Max. size:  12 cm TL (male/unsexed)
 Environment:  benthopelagic
 Distribution:  North America: Upper Kentucky River drainage in Kentucky, USA.
 Diagnosis:  Can be diagnosed by having 52-61 lateral-line scales, usually 62 or fewer, and 34-54 pored lateral-line scales, usually fewer than 50 (Ref. 86798).
 Biology:  Inhabits rocky riffles and pools of headwaters, creeks and small rivers (Ref. 86798).
 IUCN Red List Status: Near Threatened  (Ref. 96402)
 Threat to humans:  harmless
