 Environment:  reef-associated; depth range - 50 m
 Distribution:  Western Atlantic: southern Florida in USA and Bahamas to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil (Ref. 57756).
 Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 7-7; Dorsal soft rays (total): 11-11; Anal spines: 0-0; Anal soft rays: 10-10
 Biology:  Cryptic, benthic and found on sandy bottoms near rocks or corals (Ref. 92840).
