 Environment:  benthopelagic
 Distribution:  Asia: Mekong basin in Xishuang-banna (Yunnan, China) and in Laos.
 Diagnosis:  Distinguishable by its sharp keel between the base of the pelvic fins and the anus; 42-46+1-2 lateral line scales (Ref. 27732); 11-14 1/2 branched anal rays (Ref. 43281).
 Biology:  Inhabits upper reaches of large streams, with moderately swift current (Ref. 43281).
 IUCN Red List Status: Data deficient  (Ref. 96402)
 Threat to humans:  harmless
