 Family:  Paralichthyidae (Large-tooth flounders)
 Max. size:  40 cm TL (male/unsexed)
 Environment:  demersal; depth range 30 - 137 m
 Distribution:  Eastern Pacific: Monterey Bay in California, USA to the Gulf of California.
 Diagnosis:   
 Biology:  Utilized fresh and is said to be an excellent foodfish.
