 Family:  Clariidae (Airbreathing catfishes)
 Max. size:  4.2 cm TL (male/unsexed)
 Environment:  demersal
 Distribution:  Asia: Kottayam in Kerala, India.
 Diagnosis:  Bones of the skull firmly articulated. Brain teleostean. Absence of eyes brought about the degeneration of the optic lobes. Skin devoid of scales (Ref. 44151).
 Biology:  Found in wells. Migrate from one well to another through underground water channels (Ref. 43626).
 IUCN Red List Status: Data deficient  (Ref. 96402)
 Threat to humans:  harmless
