 Family:  Characidae (Characins), subfamily: Incertae sedis
 Max. size:  3 cm SL (male/unsexed)
 Environment:  benthopelagic; pH range: 6 - 6.5; dH range: 15
 Distribution:  South America: Maroni, Mana, Sinnamary, Kourou, Comté, Approuague and Oyapock River basins in French Guiana.
 Diagnosis:   
 Biology:  A gregarious species which occurs along swampy, coastal zones. Prefers swamps and lentic waters of rivers. Omnivorous (Ref. 12225).
 IUCN Red List Status: Not Evaluated  (Ref. 96402)
