 Family:  Bothidae (Lefteye flounders)
 Max. size:  10.4 cm SL (male/unsexed)
 Environment:  demersal; depth range - 59 m
 Distribution:  Western Indian Ocean: Red Sea endemic.
 Diagnosis:  Dorsal soft rays (total): 89-95; Anal soft rays: 70-74. This species is distinguished clearly from deep-bodied Grammatobothus in these 3 characters: dorsal-fin rays 87-97; anal- fin rays 70-75; body depth 2.2-2.6 in SL (Ref. 99978).
