 Environment:  bathydemersal; depth range 500 - 2000 m
 Distribution:  Eastern Atlantic: southern Bay of Biscay to Namibia. Western Atlantic: Gulf of Mexico, Caribbean, and off Brazil.
 Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 0-0; Dorsal soft rays (total): 57-67; Anal spines: 0-0; Anal soft rays: 78-85
 Biology:  Benthic on soft bottoms (Ref. 51024).
 IUCN Red List Status:   (Ref. 96402)
