 Family:  Lotidae (Hakes and burbots)
 Max. size:  108 cm TL (male/unsexed)
 Environment:  demersal; depth range 30 - 754 m
 Distribution:  Eastern Atlantic: Irish Atlantic slope south and including the western Mediterranean.
 Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 0-0; Anal spines: 0-0
 Biology:  Occurs on the upper slope (Ref. 6144). Depth range from 388-754 in the eastern Ionian Sea (Ref. 56504).
 IUCN Red List Status:   (Ref. 96402)
 Threat to humans:  harmless
