 Max. size:  96.5 cm TL (male/unsexed)
 Environment:  demersal; depth range 75 - 300 m
 Distribution:  Eastern Atlantic: Senegal to Angola including western Mediterranean.
 Diagnosis:   
 Biology:  Burrows in sand or mud near the edge of the continental shelf (Ref. 4455).
