Occurs in temporary pools and swamps or water-filled depressions; water depth variable an descreases as dry season progresses; littoral vegetation consists of grasses; swamps may be used to cultivate rice (Ref. 85866). Bottom spawner, 4-6 months incubation. Is very difficult to maintain in aquarium (Ref. 27139). |
