 Family:  Bythitidae (Viviparous brotulas), subfamily: Bythitinae
 Max. size:  2.9 cm SL (female)
 Environment:  reef-associated; depth range 0 - 5 m
 Distribution:  Western Central Atlantic: Panama.
 Diagnosis:  Dorsal soft rays (total): 56-65; Anal soft rays: 46-51. This species is characterized by the following: dorsal fin rays 56-65, anal fin rays 46-51; otolith with fused colliculi; few large scales on cheek; dentary with 2-4 large fangs in mid section; anterior inner pseudoclasper disc-shaped and inwardly-directed, larger than posterior inner pseudoclasper; outer pseudoclasper small and lobate (Ref. 55786).
 Biology:
