 Family:  Gobiidae (Gobies), subfamily: Gobionellinae
 Max. size:  16.5 cm TL (male/unsexed)
 Environment:  reef-associated; depth range 2 - 60 m
 Distribution:  Western Central Atlantic: Florida, Bahamas and southern Gulf of Mexico to Suriname.
 Diagnosis:   
 Biology:  Inhabits sand and mud bottoms. Shares burrow with alpheid shrimp.
