Description: Characterized by mottled grey to brownish color; unbranched pectoral rays; ctenoid scales; adult with posterior lacrimal spine directed posteriorly, ventrally or anteroventrally in juvenile; distinct spines absent in suborbital ridge; well developed interorbital ridge, slightly diverging posteriorly with moderately deep depression; depth of body 2.4-2.6 in SL (Ref. 90102). |
Mainly estuarine in shallow rubble habitat (Ref. 48635). Also found in coral reefs in 1-15 m (Ref 90102). |
