 Family:  Liparidae (Snailfishes)
 Max. size:  3.7 cm SL (male/unsexed)
 Environment:  bathypelagic; depth range 0 - 350 m
 Distribution:  Western Indian Ocean: northern part of Crozet Basin near the southwest Indian Ridge (Ref. 42989).
 Diagnosis:  Dorsal soft rays (total): 36-36; Anal soft rays: 28-28; Vertebrae: 43. Coronal pore present, temporal pores 1+1, pectoral fin with 1 notch ray, eye not less than 20% HL, gill slit equal to eye and vertical, its dorsal end level with pupil; color tan (Ref. 42989).
