 Family:  Rhinobatidae (Guitarfishes), subfamily: Rhinobatinae
 Max. size:  76.3 cm TL (male/unsexed)
 Environment:  demersal
 Distribution:  Eastern Pacific: southern Mexico to Peru and Chile, including the Galapagos Islands.
 Diagnosis:   
 Biology:  May reach 170 cm TL (Ref. 12951). Ovoviviparous (Ref. 50449).
 IUCN Red List Status: Data deficient  (Ref. 96402)
 Threat to humans:  harmless
