Dorsal soft rays (total): 4-4; Anal soft rays: 44-55; Vertebrae: 48-52. Mature males with bifurcated serrae on the pectoral spine; zero or one gill raker on first branchial arch; and depth of caudal peduncle 6.3-9.5% SL. |
Occurs in both acid water forest streams and blackwater habitats in peat swamps (Ref. 32835). Also found in blackwater streams in lowland and upland areas (Ref. 56749). |
