 Family:  Odacidae (Cales and weed-whitings)
 Max. size:  11 cm SL (male/unsexed)
 Environment:  demersal; depth range 1 - 19 m
 Distribution:  Eastern Indian Ocean: southern Australia, from Recherche Archipelago, Western Australia to Wilsons Promontory and Portland, Victoria.
 Diagnosis:   
 Biology:  A benthic species which occurs inshore (Ref. 75154). Apparently restricted to moderately high-energy coastal locations with dominant stands of brown macroalgae such as Phyllospora comosa and Ecklonia radiata.
 IUCN Red List Status: Data deficient  (Ref. 96402)
 Threat to humans:  harmless
