 Environment:  demersal; depth range - 22 m
 Distribution:  Western Central Atlantic: known from the type locality, Caribbean Sea, off Colombia, 8°59'N, 76°39-42.8'W.
 Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 0-0; Dorsal soft rays (total): 8-8; Anal spines: 0-0; Anal soft rays: 7-7. Dorsally and laterally, basal pigmentation light grey or brown, with a few dark, poorly defined blotches. Cheeks with uniform basal pigment, without distinct markings. Ventral surface unpigmented. Lappets absent (Ref 53033).
 Biology:  Minimum depth from Ref. 58018.
 IUCN Red List Status: Data deficient  (Ref. 96402)
 Threat to humans:  harmless
