 Family:  Squatinidae (Angel sharks)
 Max. size:  170 cm TL (male/unsexed)
 Environment:  demersal; depth range 100 - 400 m
 Distribution:  Southwest Atlantic: southern Brazil to Argentina.
 Diagnosis:   
 Biology:  Found on the continental shelf and slope. Ovoviviparous (Ref. 50449).
 IUCN Red List Status: Endangered (A2b) (Ref. 96402)
 Threat to humans:  traumatogenic
