Adults occur mainly in river channels and lakes. They feed on the bottom on insects (particularly on trichopterans and chironomids), mollusks, occasionally on fishes (Ref. 6868). Oviparous (Ref. 205). Eggs are guarded by the males (Ref. 45232). Important food fish (Ref. 89718). |
