 Family:  Gobiidae (Gobies), subfamily: Gobiinae
 Max. size:  1.38 cm SL (male/unsexed)
 Environment:  demersal; depth range 15 - 50 m
 Distribution:  Western Indian Ocean: Chagos Archipelago.
 Diagnosis:   
 Biology:  Inhabits mainly oceanic drop-offs; in and around caves in vertical walls. Probably a schooling fish; feeding on plankton but radiolarians in the gut may indicate some feeding off the substrate (Ref. 38635).
 IUCN Red List Status: Not Evaluated  (Ref. 96402)
 Threat to humans:  harmless
