 Family:  Uranoscopidae (Stargazers)
 Max. size:  11.3 cm SL (male/unsexed)
 Environment:  demersal; depth range 2 - 35 m
 Distribution:  Western Pacific: Bali Strait to Timor. Reported from Taiwan (Ref. 5193), Malaysia (Ref. 5756), New Caledonia (Ref. 9070). Report of its occurrence in Mauritius needs verification (Ref. 5503).
 Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 4-5; Dorsal soft rays (total): 13-14; Anal soft rays: 12-15. Body without distinctive colour markings (Ref 42778).
 Biology:  Max. length (Edward O. Murdy, pers. comm., 1998).
 IUCN Red List Status:   (Ref. 96402)
