 Family:  Gobiidae (Gobies), subfamily: Gobiinae
 Max. size:  10.3 cm SL (male/unsexed)
 Environment:  reef-associated; depth range 2 - 12 m
 Distribution:  Western Indian Ocean: Persian Gulf to Masirah Island, central Oman.
 Diagnosis:   
 Biology:  Found over sand near corals and has been observed in pairs. Monogamous (Ref. 52884).
 IUCN Red List Status: Not Evaluated  (Ref. 96402)
 Threat to humans:  harmless
