Definition of Term

driftline
(english) A line or patch of material adrift on the ocean surface, usually consisting of all manners of debris and broken pieces of seagrass or sargassum. Young fish hide and feed among the drifting material. Larger fish cruise below, searching for prey. (See also: debris, sargassum)
