Reports of Ctenopoma nanum in Ricardo-Bertram 1943 and Poll 1967, and those of C. ctenotis in Blaber 1978 and Taylor 1982, and all from the Okavango Zambezi River system, are misidentifications of Ctenopoma intermedium (Ref. 79610).
