Dorsal spines (total): 0; Dorsal soft rays (total): 102; Anal spines: 0; Anal soft rays: 75; Vertebrae: 102. Pelvic fins small. Body pale brownish dorsally and much paler ventrally. Ten dark brownish crossbars across head, trunk and tail extending to the dorsal and anal fins (Ref. 27363).
