Treatments: | Droncit 5 mg/kg mixed with food. Praziquantel (5-10 mg/L for 24 days) can kill the parasite but will not remove the worm. Ref. 48502. | |
Prophylaxis: | Remove snails by disinfection of ponds and quarantine. Protection from fish-eating birds. | |
Remarks: | In addition, Bykhovs (1964) cited this parasite to also infect the body cavity (Ref. 45599). | |
