Diagnosis |
Males with a broad, convex anal-fin lobe formed by the 12-14 anteriormost rays, which are more elongated and thickened than the remaining rays; pelvic bones elongated, protruding through the body wall in some of the largest specimens; dorsal and pelvic fins not elongated in mature males; caudal peduncle blotch asymmetric and not as dark in males; all dentary teeth cusps in a straight line and 3 teeth in the maxilla (Ref. 42938). |
