Diagnosis: dorsal fin absent; adipose fin always present; pectoral-fin spine variably denticulate; 60-78 soft rays in anal fin (Ref. 57127). Coloration: in life: body translucent, sometimes covered with small black dots (Ref. 57127). Preserved specimens: body whitish-beige, sometimes with small spots of pigment along lateral line and anal-fin base, as well as on head and back (Ref. 57127). |
