Description: Characterized by whitish with yellow mottling; body with about 12 short yellowish bars; upper and lower pectoral-fin base with small brown spot; branched caudal rays 12-13; cycloid predorsal scales, extending forward to about rear edge of preopercle, narrow median triangular patch of scales reaching forward to midway between rear edge of eye and posterior edge of preopercle; 3-4 cycloid scales anterodorsally on preopercle; without gill rakers; depth of body about 5.6-5.7 in SL (Ref. 90102). |
